About DC

Dragons. From ancient legend to modern film, people have been talking about them, writing about them, and portraying them in art. Whether feared or revered, seen as good luck or thought to be the embodiment of evil, dragons have been a hot topic throughout history. But what is fact, and what is fiction? What are the differences between Eastern and Western dragon lore? What have people said about dragons in the past, and what are they saying today? I started this blog as a conversation–a place where history nerds, fantasy lovers, and dragon enthusiasts of every kind can come to compare tales, have fun, and hopefully even learn something new.

Thanks for joining me as I coax all the pieces together at this Dragon Crossing.

  1. Wow! An entire blog dedicated to dragons! What a fantastic idea! πŸ™‚
I’ve always been fascinated by them and always claim them to be my favourite mythical creature, but the truth is I don’t actually know much about them. I saw a film with them in when I was younger which sparked by interest. Then in later years Smaug from the Hobbit and the Inheritance Cycle dragons made me realise how passionate I was about them.

I’m 100% subscribing! Can’t wait to see all your future posts. πŸ™‚

    • Thanks! I’ll be honored if my blog helps you learn some more about dragons. I had read a lot about them in the past, but it was definitely time to put the scattered pieces together to get a clearer picture for myself. Smaug and the Inheritance dragons will be making their appearances at some point, of course! Thanks for following me, and I hope my future posts don’t disappoint.

    • Thank you for both of the awards that you have chosen to pass on to my blog! I don’t have a good place to keep awards right now, which is why I did not pass on either award yet, but I appreciate receiving them. I’ve had a low-key few months of blogging, but perhaps as I start pushing the blog again over the next few weeks as is planned, I’ll find the time to mention them and pass them on. πŸ™‚
